This SUNDAY -- Pina Bausch and Jose Limon trained Dancer, Daniel Fetecua, will be premiering a new film by Natalia Chinchilla, El Pajarillo Pinta'o de Daniel Fetecua, about his evolution as a boy in Colombia to an international dance artist, to his own company director.
The performance part of the event is a collaboration between Daniel Fetecua and Sleepy Hollow resident and internationally-recognized composer Pablo Mayor and his musicians on an original RAW HOUSE event! Details and tickets at www.rivertownartistsworkshop.org

Now, about loving culture. I met with a Westchester resident and Mark Morris dancer yesterday who is raising two teenagers, taught dance at Purchase for 15 years and has gone back to graduate school to GO DEEPER into her OWN ARTISTIC PROCESS now that recognizes herself as a mature choreographer in her own right. This is the kind of cultural richness I am seeing everywhere in our Westchester neighborhoods. And there is little to NO place for these artists to find community outside academia and even less room for them to test new work on audiences outside of those settings. This is what RAW is ABOUT. And we are so LUCKY to have such a wealth of talented artists willing and able to enrich our landscape by engaging with RAW on events like this one on Sunday.
