22-Year-Old Born in Sleepy Hollow Dies

Christopher David Hustis was born in North Tarrytown and lived in Nelsonville, NY where the vivacious young man was learning the family business.

Christopher Hustis was killed instantly in a two-car head on collission on Route 9 in the town of Fishkill Friday night, reported New York Newsday

State police said Hustis allegedly crossed the line into the oncoming lane and hit another car driven by a woman identified as Tatiana Selca, 30, of Pawling who was hospitalized for injuries. 

In an obituary posted on Funeral.com, the 22-year-old who lived in Nelsonville, NY had Sleepy Hollow ties. He was born here on April 3, 1990 to Pamela A. (Donato) and David L. Hustis.

Hustis was a New York Military Academy graduate, described as active in sports and his church. He had been learning the family trade with his father and hoping to get his commercial driving license.

Funeral services will be held at the Cold Spring United Methodist Church, 216 Main Street, Cold Spring, NY, at 10 a.m., Thursday February 28, 2013. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Corner of Parrott & Pine Streets (21 Parrott Street), Cold Spring, NY on Tuesday February 26th and Wednesday February 27th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cold Spring United Methodist Church, 216 Main Street, Cold Spring, NY 10516 in memory of Christopher’s loving spirit.
