Lena Verdi, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died on November 20, 2012. She was 88.
Mrs. Verdi was born on January 10, 1924 to Thomas and Theresa Rombaldi Fallacaro in North Tarrytown. She worked for many years as a clerk and typist for the Village of North Tarrytown (Sleepy Hollow). She was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors.
She is survived by her children Lawrence (Melissa) Verdi of Sleepy Hollow, Diane Verdi of Sleepy Hollow, and Thomas Verdi of Manchester, CT. She is also survived by 3 grandchilren as well as 2 sisters: Sarah Ceconi and Filomena Fallacaro. She was predeceased by her husband Angelo Verdi as well as her brothers Frank, Richard, and Nicolo Fallacaro.
Visitation will be held on Wed. from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME INC. in Tarrytown. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow. Interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
