Obituary: Katherine “Kay” Weber, 95

Sleepy Hollow resident Katherine “Kay” Weber died on June 23 at the age of 95. She was born to the late John and Katherine Canavan and graduated from the Academy and College of Mt. St. Vincent and attended Katherine Gibbs School.

She married the late Philip F. Weber in St. Patrick's Cathedral in 1958. Weber was the production manager for Romaine Pierson Publishers, which published medical journals, for more than three decades.

For 25 years she was an active volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, the Cardinal Spellman Retreat House in Riverdale and volunteered in blood drives for the American Red Cross and the Hudson Valley Blood Banks.

Weber was a founding and active member of First Friday, was the Chairperson for the Catholic Widows and Widowers of Yonkers and was a member of the Ladies of Charity.
