Peter Saracelli, 93, Lifelong Tarrytowner

Peter Saracelli, Sr. was a born in North Tarrytown, worked at GM, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Peter G. Saracelli Sr., a lifelong resident of the Tarrytowns, died November 27, 2012. He was 93.

Mr. Saracelli was born on June 28, 1919 to Salvatore and Virginia Saracelli in North Tarrytown. He went on to work for General Motors Corp. for over 36 years as an Assembler. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He also worked for 19 years at Frank’s Florist in Greenburgh. He was a member of the Tarrytown Seniors as well as UAW Local 664. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 506 in Ossining.

He is survived by his son Peter (Carol) Saracelli Jr. of Tarrytown. He is also survived by his grandaughter Cheryl (Rick) Tucci of Tarrytown and his grandson Rob (Elizabeth) Saracelli of Rock Hill, NY. He is also survived by his 4 Gt. Grandchildren: Timmy, Kayla, Katie, and Megan. He was predeceased by his wife Josephine Mondelli Saracelli in 2008 as well as also being predeceased by his many siblings.

Visitation will be held on Wed. from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at COFFEY FUNERAL: HOME INC. in Tarrytown. His Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 AM on Thursday at Transfiguration Church. His interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
