Stephen C. Schmidt of Tarrytown died September 21, 2013 at the age of 79. Born in Dobbs Ferry on August 15, 1934, he was the son of Harold and Gladys Roberts Schmidt. Steve served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He had been a longtime employee of Robison Oil until his retirement.
Steve loved the Hudson River and was a member of the Washington Irving Boat Club and a very active member of the United Stated Coast Guard Auxiliary, being a member of Flotilla 65.

He is survived by his daughters Lisa and Jennifer, his siblings Warren, Peter, Evelyn D’Eufemia, Laura and Robert Schmidt as well as his friend Patricia Hawkins. He is also survived by his dog Princess. He was predeceased by his wife Maureen (Fitzsimons) and his brother Harold.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be on Thursday at 8:00 PM.
