Police Chief & I will patrol neighborhoods on Halloween

Every year since I assumed office as Town Supervisor I spend parts of Halloween night patrolling the streets of Greenburgh with the Police Chief. We allocate significant police resources to Halloween night and have many police officers patrolling neighborhoods which are traditional victims "of mischief". Years ago there were lots of reports of eggs, shaving cream, vandalism on Halloween night. Because the police department allocates so many resources to Halloween night - reports of mischief have declined greatly over the years.   We're trying to prevent property damage and vandalism from taking place on Halloween night. Halloween night this year is going to be challenging. The weather is warm --and it's the last two Halloweens were cancelled due to the Hurricane, road and weather conditions.

Tonight the Chief and I will once again patrol the streets along with other officers. If you would like us to stop by to check on you or your neighborhood, please advise by e mailing me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. If you want us to make a house call please let me know when the latest time in the evening we can ring your bell to check up on you --and to get a report on your impressions of the town's handling of Halloween night.
