Providing Luxury Beauty Services in Ugly Places!

JKFlashy is well known for providing Luxury Health & Beauty Services anywhere & anytime!  We pride ourselves in our professional flawless appearance and timely manner.  Our reputation speaks for itself and we have worked very hard to establish ourselves within Westchester Community as well as NYC and other areas.  People always comment on how glamorous it must be to be a Luxury Makeup Artist & service “Fancy” places.  Let me share my most recent “Fancy” experiences with you...

Recently, I pulled into the Ritz Carlton White Plains and jumped I was so startled.  One of the valet employees was screaming at the top of his lungs for me to stop.  I laughed because the other valet had just told me to pull up to the Residence Tower we were providing services for.  I laughed because the Ritz Carlton naturally falls into a Luxury Category, right? My mind began spinning...what & who sets the bar for Luxury? Who & what type of training programs are Ritz Carlton employee and subcontractors required to attend to ensure guests and vendors are treated in a manner consistent with their branding and perception of Luxury?

Yesterday I had a mitzvah at the Trump in Soho.  Fancy location right?  I laughed as I rolled down my window and the Valet Employee told me there was garage parking down the road. I became confused and wondered didn’t Trump Soho offer Valet Parking? Perhaps if I was in Prada & Channel & accessorized in Van Cleef and not in a Corporate uniform, my door would have been opened by the Valet and the lobby door would have been open wider for me to enter as a “guest”?  I laughed in the man’s face & told him valet at Trump would be perfect!  I also cringed to myself as I unloaded my own vehicle, this was Luxury, right?

I knew I had to Blog my experience as I walked up to the “Check In” Desk and the woman looked me up and down and greeted me in a surprised voice, “Your a guest?” I laughed and said “No, I am providing services for a guest!” Having someone assist me with my travel makeup bag and equipment to the Trump suite was equivalent to humbly waiting for my Pug’s pacemaker surgery to be complete. Again, I asked myself this is “Luxury”?

I won’t bore you with the story of how a Resident at Trump Soho, called the “worker” in the elevator (me!) a “Bitc*”.  I laughed again...this was Luxury?!

My best friend offers superior advice for all human beings. “Jill, at some point, every human should work in the service industry...people need to know what it is like to provide a service & also truly learn about gratuity!” My best friend couldn’t be more correct.  We would probably live in a nicer, more Luxury service oriented world if every person understood what it truly is like to be on the other side of providing services. Perhaps the Ritz Carlton White Plains & the Trump Soho could implement a Basic Training Program for their employees & subcontractors...”Treat others how you wish to be treated & ALL people are equal.” Perhaps the results would attribute to authentically branding these “Fancy” locations as Luxury, right?!
