Thursday 8/8: Phelps Hospital Farmers Market at the Park

Come show your support; don't let a few raindrops keep you away!  These vendors are committed to bringing you their wonderful bounty each week so let them know how much you appreciate it.
Why just last week (another rainy one!), Conny of Black Forest Flammkuchen was dashing through the drops delivering those delectable delights!  Did you know you can text or phone in your order for pick-up?  845.505.9005 with your name and time you'll be there; here's this week's menu:  http://blackforestflammkuchen.com/menu/
You'll notice it's rich with tomatoes, corn, eggplant, peppers, squash, greens, all things they purchase locally and you can too when you visit the market.  Wright's Farm has luscious heirloom tomatoes that need not much accompaniment; perhaps a bit of fine salt from Spice Revolution or some fragrant herbs from among the bountiful array of produce under R&G's tents at the top of the hill.
True Foods, Pure Food Sisters and Red Barn Bakery also have plenty of choices for lunch or take-home as well as sweet treats.  And then there's those Rich Brownies who quickly built a following last year when they first joined us.
Did you get a chance to visit with Anad of Raghoo Farms last week?  What an opportunity to actually speak to the farmer who raises the meat and eggs you buy!  He's previously sold at NYC's Union Square market so that certainly speaks to the quality of his products and once you've tried them, you'll see for yourself.
Along with Sohha's savory Greek yogurt, we're happy to introduce Danai Sintilas and her Greek offerings of baklava, spanakopita and other specialties.  Also make sure you try Christine's Savory Jams which pair beautifully with breads and cheeses or as glazes or a salad dressing base.
Finally ... flowers!  Laura Ferraro visits with beautiful blooms to brighten your desk, home or to share some sweet sunshine ... no calories involved here!
