A mother called Tarrytown police to report that a stranger wearing a Halloween-type mask and driving a green four-door Subaru had attempted to lure her juvenile son into his car.
The stranger had reportedly pulled over and opened the passenger side door as the 15-year-old was walking home on the evening of Jan. 7. on the sidewalk in front of Tarrytown Village Hall.
The driver appeared very old with wrinkly skin that appeared to look like a mask. He opened the door and just looked at the boy with no words exchanged. The boy kept walking toward his apartment and the car drove away. He reported this to his mother, who called police.
Police searched the area and found nothing suspicious.
