Police reported that four cars were damaged on South Broadway following a "chain reaction" series of accidents, Lt. Herguth said. This was followed shortly after by the same thing further down the road, with three more cars.
Irvington Police reported to Tarrytown PD that there was a property damage accident on Oct. 30 at 6:15 p.m.
Four cars were listed as being involved after the first car slowed down and was rear-ended by another, and so on. The cars sustained front and rear end damages.

Then just before 7 p.m., on the same day and a half mile down the road, police reported another property damage accident with three cars around 620 South Broadway near Lyndhurst.
It was the same deal, said Lt. Herguth, with one car slowing causing a chain of rear-end accidents in its wake.
However, Herguth said the two different series of accidents were unrelated.
