Car Stuck in EF Sports Field, Driver Arrested

Tarrytown Police responded to a call that a car was damaging a sports field; they arrested the driver on multiple charges.

EF School security called police to report that a car trespassing on the school’s ball field was now stuck and causing damage.

On March 12 at 5:31 p.m., Tarrytown police responded to the scene and soon reported the arrest of several men for trespassing. They impounded the car. After further investigation, police determined that only one of the men was responsible for driving onto the private property and released the passenger.

At 8:40 p.m., Judge Kyle McGovern arraigned Andrew Munoz, 22, of Croton-on-Hudson, releasing him on $500 cash bail with a return court date.

Munoz was charged with:

  • Trespass
  • Criminal Mischief in the third degree
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree
  • Aggravated unlicensed operation in the second/based on mandatory suspension.

Tarrytown Lt. William Herguth reported that during a standard inventory check of the impounded car, police found a set of metal knuckles in the glove compartment. He did not have further information on why the men were driving in the field in the first place.
