Care Center Files Elder Abuse Report

A worker at the Tarrytown Hall Care Center allegedly pushed an old man's head a few times, calling him a "crazy old man."

The Tarrytown Hall Care Center filed a report for elder abuse at their facility with the Department of Health. As part of the NYS Department of Health code, they in turn had to report the incident to the Tarrytown Police.

A nursing supervisor at the Wood Court center recounted that on March 15 around 4 p.m., nursing assistants were attempting to move a man from his chair into a shower chair. During the exchange, the man’s hand scratched one of the aid’s in the chest area. The second aid, allegedly pushed the man’s head three to four times saying, “Stop doing that, you crazy old man.”

The aid who was scratched reported the incident to her supervisor who filed the report for furhter investigation.
