brought about downpours, a few road closures and one reported lightning strike in Scarsdale today.
Captain John Saviano said the SFD responded to a call on Ridgecrest for a building struck by lightning this morning.
Although there was no fire, and no evidence of a strike found, such as limbs down or burnt leaves, a few homes had some damage to electrical boxes, according to Saviano.
"There were a couple of good booms," but the call was a "non-event," he said.
Parts of the Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale and White Plains were closed earlier today due to flooding, but have since been reopened, according to the Westchester County Police.
Currently, the Saw Mill Parkway in Mount Pleasant remains closed.
