Police Arrest Vanful of Twenty-Somethings for Marijuana Possession in Empty Lot

The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force came upon a group of five twenty-somethings parked in a van at the vacant lot at 21 Wildey Street, all allegedly in possession of pot.

Police found them at the lot below Warner Library, once the home of Village Hall, on August 1 at 9:27 p.m., where they said the group was either burning or with opened marijuana in public view, meriting a charge for all five of:

Unlawful possession of marijuana in the fifth.

The five -- three women and two men -- are from Mt. Kisco, Hawthorne, Ossining and White Plains and range in age from 20 to 28 years old.

All were released with a court date.
