Police: Emotionally Disturbed Man Found Wandering High School

A school official reported to police that they had found a strange man with braids, who wasn't a student, wandering inside the Sleepy Hollow High School and talking to students just before 9 a.m. on Dec. 20.

They said he had been removed from the property immediately and no threats or harm was done.

The same man was soon found at Village Hall, where police requested an ambulance to come with no lights or sirens for the man, a 24-year-old from Tarrytown, who was found to be emotionally disturbed.

Police informed the school that they had the man in custody. The man would be taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital for evaluation. He was issued a banned person form prohibiting him from school grounds.
