Police Find Graffiti, Criminal Mischief Around the Villages

Black Graffiti on South Broadway Stone Walls

A caller reported to Tarrytown police the morning of June 30 that graffiti had been found on the South Broadway entrance of the Unification Church property.

The officer reported on the scene that someone had spray painted images in black on the stone wall at 723 South Broadway/Belvedere sometime between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.

At 12:20 p.m., officers reported finding further graffiti on the property of Lyndhurst and Kraft Foods. Employees at both venues were found and told police they had already made arrangements to have it cleaned up.

Blue Graffiti

A person came into Tarrytown police headquarters on June 27 at 10:53 a.m. to report that an unknown person sprayed the rear of the Community Opportunity Center building at 105 Wildey.

Officers investigated and took photographs of the blue spay paint. 

Incident noted for the record at this time.

Tires Slashed

A Clinton Street resident reported to Sleepy Hollow police damage to a car parked on the street on June 29 at 11:13 p.m. The tires were slashed.

Police took photos and filed a case for criminal mischief.

Keyed

In another Sleepy Hollow incident, photographed here but not in the blotters, I came upon this blue car parked on Depeyster Street, keyed all over (hood, side doors and back) with such words as “puta.”
