Sleepy Hollow police recently responded to a complaint that a bodega owner had been robbed, but considered the case a larceny when the owner recanted his story and refused to file any criminal charges.
Again on Cortlandt Street, an officer reported a possible robbery that that may have occurred after talking to two men on March 5 at 5:51 p.m.
Again police considered it a larceny and not a robbery as no force was apparently used.
Police were looking for a light-skinned black male with white shirt with black stripes and black pants, who took some cash from a victim on the street.
The detective division would continue investigation.
No suspects had been found in either case, reported Police Chief Gregory Camp.
