On January 3 at 5:10 p.m., a restaurant manager at the T.G.I. Friday's on 240 White Plains Road reported that a fight had occurred in the bar area.
Officers on the scene learned that a dispute had taken place between a boyfriend and girlfriend during which the boyfriend allegedly choked his girlfriend.
When police were arresting the man, he complained of suffering chest pain. Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps was called and transported the man to Phelps Memorial Hospital emergency room accompanied by officers.
Meanwhile the woman was taken to headquarters to make a statement.
At 7:47 p.m., officers returned to headquarters with Michael Puchalski, 27, of Fairfield, NJ, who was processed on charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and released on his own recognizance.
