A man fell into a work ditch and was injured but refused medical help, police report.
Tarrytown Police report that on Feb. 6 at 4:08 p.m., a caller requested an ambulance for a man who fell into a excavation ditch/work area. The worker was now at the Main Street firehouse.
Officers, Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a paramedic responded, but the man refused medical attention.
Highway Foreman Scott Weaver was on the scene and said the accident happened at a site where a contractor was doing work with all the proper permits in place.
