A car in Sleepy Hollow struck a parked car, which struck a parked car, which struck a parked car, totaling four damaged cars, police reported on June 16 at 1:42 p.m.
A caller reported that a man driving a Ford van had struck a parked car on the top of Chestnut Street.
Officers at the scene found that the driver was travelling eastbound when he hit the rear of a parked car. The impact pushed the parked car into another car parked in front of it, which in turn pushed that car into another car in front of it, ultimately involving a total of four cars in this one accident.
The Sleepy Hollow fire department was dispatched since the driver's airbags had been deployed.
The driver was reportedly unlicensed and had no injuries, refusing medical treatment.
He was issued a summons for unlicensed operator while the car's registered owner was issued a violation for permitting unlicensed operation.
