Police Seek Information on Man Who Approached Middle School Girl

Police said that at no time did the man attempt to touch or harm the 11-year-old.

The following comes from Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Gregory Camp:

On Thursday, November 7, 2013 at about 3:20 p.m. an 11-year-old female was walking home from Sleepy Hollow Middle School and when turning onto Beekman Avenue from North Broadway (Rt 9), an unknown male attempted to engage her in conversation.

This subject was speaking about God and random religious subject matter to the child but at no time attempted to touch or harm the child. Subject is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, 6-2 and skinny with pock marked face and short black hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a ‘worn out’ green hooded sweat jacket and had a back pack, possibly black.

He followed child for several hundred feet before child walked into police headquarters to report this incident.

This subject is not wanted for any criminal action but we would like to identify and speak with the subject.
