A Hartsdale man, 23, has been identified as the person struck, and killed, by a train this morning just south of the Hartsdale Metro-North Station.
Metro-North spokesperson Marjorie Anders said the man apparently committed suicide, according to a report on LoHud.com.
The train struck the man near the parking lot south of the station and running along Pipeline Road, leaving many Harlem line commuters stranded and delaying trains by up to an hour.
Harlem line trains are listed as in "good service" now on MTA.info.

Greenburgh Police Chief Joseph DeCarlo reports that someone was struck this morning by a train just south of the Hartsdale station and Metro North Police are investigating.
As a result of the accident, Harlem Line Metro North trains are reportedly running up to 60 minutes late. Commuters are advised to listen to station announcements or check mta.info for updates.
Chief DeCarlo said police activity has also closed Pipeline Road.
