Someone came into Sleepy Hollow police headquarters on July 4 at 2:37 a.m. to report that a woman had been punched in the face at the Huddle Bar.
The person said a man punched the woman and attempted to steal her purse. They said the man was now hiding in the bushes in the parking lot next to the fire department.
Three officers were sent to check it out, one going to the Huddle to try to find the victim. The officer found the woman who reportedly refused to cooperate. She said she didn't know what the officer was talking about and wished to be left alone.
