The following information was supplied by the Sleepy Hollow Police Department.
Teen Troubles: Drugs, Alcohol
On Oct. 19 at 5:55 p.m., a regular in the police blotters, a 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident, was dropped off at the hospital intoxicated, reported a Phelps Memorial Hospital emergency room staffer to Sleepy Hollow police. The worker stated his friends appeared to be intoxicated as well and were in a parked car in the parking lot. Three units sent to the hospital and located the black car. Police didn’t observe anyone driving the car, whose ignition was off. At 6:28 a.m., a woman arrived to retrieve the car who was not authorized to do so and was turned down. The vehicle was released to its owner.
A call came in on Oct. 21 at 3:34 a.m. reporting someone was yelling in front of 80 Beekman Avenue. Officers sent and reported they had arrested a 17-year-old on multiple charges. Defendant, allegedly under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, was transported back to Sleepy Hollow PD headquarters. Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps and medic were dispatched and the defendant was transported to Phelps with an officer on board. Police sergeant reported the teenager had to be restrained at the hospital.
Cocaine Arrest
The Greenburgh Alcohol task reported a man under arrest for possession of cocaine on Oct. 23 at 3:23 p.m. at 95 Beekman Avenue. The man was processed and released on an appearance ticket.
White Dog
On Oct. 19 at 6:07 p.m., an officer reported that a passing motorist had informed him a small white dog had been struck by a car on North Broadway. A second call came in specifying the dog was at Beekman and North Broadway. An officer was unable to locate the dog. Caller later contacted headquarters stating he brought the dog to the Yonkers speciality animal center (914-457-4000) for treatment. The animal had no tags on collar and no GPS chip. The cost of treatment would reportedly be upwards of $1,500. Caller said they would pay and keep dog if no one claims it. If this sounds like your dog, please contact police at 914-631-0800.
