Tarrytown Police Charge Queens Teen with Felony Larceny, Forgery

Checks the 18-year-old allegedly made to resemble those of a private business were cashed for over $2,000.

Tarrytown Police arrested 18-year-old Arabia K. Williams, of Far Rockaway, NY on felony grand larceny and forgery charges on July 22 at 4:41 p.m.

Williams allegedly forged and cashed checks in excess of $1,000, rendering this a grand larceny charge. Specifically, said Lt. William Herguth, her alleged tally of checks "made to look like those of a private business" were cashed in the amount of $821.09, $821.09, and $755.89, totaling $2,398.07.

Police charged her with: 

  • Forgery in the second, a class D felony 
  • and Grand Larceny in the fourth, a class E felony
She was released with a return court date.
