Tarrytown Police Collect Ammo from Bridge Plaza Lot, Pistol from Key Bank Lockbox

A deceased person's heir was planning to go through their loved one's lock box at Key Bank and called police for assistance as they knew it might have a gun in it.

An officer went to the bank on Sept. 6 and confirmed the box contained a P Beretta model 950B .22 caliber pistol with two magazines and .22 caliber ammunition.

Officers took the gun to headquarters for safekeeping and completed the required weapons inventory paperwork.

In another gun-related find, a caller reported to police that he found ammunition and a can of a pepper spray outside the Bridge Plaza shopping center at 350 S. Broadway on Sept. 10 at 11:07 a.m.

Police took the items, including 9 MM ammunition in a magazine, to the detective division for safekeeping.
