Sleepy Hollow police have made a third arrest following an alleged robbery and assault in the village.
According to information released from Police Chief Gregory Camp, two males – aged 18 and 19 – claimed they were victims of a disturbing robbery on December 18 around 9:50 p.m.
The two young men told police they were walking in the area of Cortlandt and Depeyster streets when a car stopped. Its occupants apparently forced the men into the car. The men were then driven, according to the police report, to a “remote location just outside the village boundaries” where they were robbed of money and personal property and realeased from the car.
After the suspects drove away, the two victims flagged down a passing car which took them to police headquarters.
Chief Camp said that one of the victims had to be treated at Westchester Medical Center for minor injuries from an assault.
Police at 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 21 reported the arrest of two local men with a third arrest “pending.”
- Arturo Delgado, 22, of Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow
- Osvaldo Maria-Melendez, 22, of Cottage Place, Tarrytown
By 7 p.m. that day, police arrested a third suspect.
- Carlos Martinez, 29, of Sleepy Hollow
The three all face charges of second degree degree and second degree unlawful imprisonment.
