Two Toddlers Go to Hospital After Car Knocks Down Family

"The children reportedly had struck their heads on the pavement and were complaining of pain," Police Chief Gregory Camp said.

A father carrying his two small children was struck and knocked down by a car in Sleepy Hollow.

Police report that the car was backing out of a parking lot across from Village Hall on Beekman Avenue around 6 p.m. on Nov. 12. The car was reportedly going at a slow speed, Police Chief Gregory Camp said, when it hit the man and his one-year-old boy and two-year-old girl.

“The children reportedly had struck their heads on the pavement and were complaining of pain,” Camp said, adding, “No visible injuries were observed on any of the pedestrians.” The three were taken by ambulance to Westchester County Medical Center for evaluation.
