The Village is part of a consortium called the Sleepy Hollow Storm Water Management Consortium. There are 16 other municipalities in this consortium.  We jointly apply for storm water management grants and have been very successful over the years. Most recently, we received a grant from the State to Map all of our catch basins (and all the other 16 municipalities). This is a required by law. This project went out to bid and 15 companies submitted proposals. The bid will be awarded tonight. The grant will cover the entire cost of the project.

R-4 Authorize Pedestrian Safety Grant Application

The Village Board is going to authorize our grant writer to apply for a “Safe Routes to Schools" grant to replace the traffic signal at Washington and Beekman. Currently, the traffic light has no signaling for pedestrians (ie. walk, don’t walk).

R-5 Accept Retirement of Police Officer

This is an officer who has been out on disability for quite some time.  His disability retirement was revently approved.
