We jointly apply for storm water management grants and have been very successful over the years. Most recently, we received a grant from the State to Map all of our catch basins (and all the other 16 municipalities). This is a required by law. This project went out to bid and 15 companies submitted proposals. The bid will be awarded tonight. The grant will cover the entire cost of the project.
R-4 Authorize Pedestrian Safety Grant Application
The Village Board is going to authorize our grant writer to apply for a “Safe Routes to Schools" grant to replace the traffic signal at Washington and Beekman. Currently, the traffic light has no signaling for pedestrians (ie. walk, don’t walk).
