Super Crane Arrives in New York Harbor

The I Lift NY super crane has arrived in the Hudson River.

In fact, the builders are welcoming the country's biggest floating crane to New York with a press event today.

Well, to the New York Harbor, anyway.

I Lift NY will be docking at a private facility in Jersey City, where it will be berthed until it is moved to the New NY Bridge project site this spring.

It began its journey toward us in December. Only 15 days ago, it was going through the 50-mile Panama Canal. Then it was still called the Left Coast Lifter, after its job rebuilding the San Francisco-Oakland Bridge in California.
