Somers Schools are closed Monday and a shelter at the Heritage Hills Activity Center is open to residents. Yorktown schools are closed Monday and Tuesday.

Schools should have stayed open and had an early dismissal today as they most likley will be closed tmrw and who know after that

Agree, but ... depends on whether staff can get to the school to teach. In Rye, there are more than a few teachers who commute via MTA North. With that shutdown, it's not at all clear that sufficient level of staffing could be reached. On the other side, I expect to see schools closed tomorrow - with a real reason - which means 2 of 3 "snow" days will have been used before the snow season starts...

I was thinking "snow day" just yesterday, but it seemed odd.
