The Tarrytown AYSO under age 10 Girls Travel Soccer Team started their season in strong fashion after practicing hard all summer. The Mustangs opened September 15th defeating the North Salem Panthers 3-0 at Losee field. Goals were scored by Emma Clarke, Samantha Nutig, and Maya Weitzen. Offensive support and strong defensive efforts were made by Annie Dineen, Samantha Livingston, Maddy Navin, Sadie Swenson, and Sophie Sylves-Berry. Julia Costa and Catherine Grimes placed a flawless effort as goal keepers.

On September 22nd, the girls traveled to Pleasantville and lost to a very strong Wildcat team. The girl's lone goal came from offensive minded lead defender Maddy Navin. A spirited effort was put in by Samantha Livingston as well, who was celebrating her 10th birthday. Despite the tough loss, the team enjoyed cup cakes and juice after the game.

On September 29th, the Mustangs returned home to Losee field and defeated the Chappaqua Lightening 7-0. Scoring was led my Samantha Nutig with 2 goals, while Emma Clarke, Catherine Grimes, Talia Fante, Maddy Navin, and Maya Weitzen contributed a goal each. Stong offensive efforts were placed by Caroline Grimes and Sophie Sylves-Berry, while Catherine Grimes, Sophie Sylves-Berry, and Julia Costa were flawless in goal.

The team now gets a well earned rest with a bye-week for Columbus day weekend and resumes play on October 13th when they travel to North Salem to face the Tigers.
