Sports Digest: PBA Basketball, Football Win

PBA Youth Basketball Tournament

The Sleepy Hollow Police Benevolent Association and Recreation Department hosted on Saturday a youth basketball tournament (and free BBQ!) for residents.

"It was awesome" said Sleepy Hollow police officer Wendy Yancey, who helped coordinate the event with Officer Craig Kelly and Rec Director Robin Pell.

In addition to the the basketball, there was music, burgers (cooked by Mayor Ken Wray), refreshments, giveaways, fire truck and a table set up from Sleepy Hollow Physical Therapy.

Everything was free thanks to donations and volunteers.

"It was really great to see the police, staff and elected officials out there volunteering for the community," Village Administrator Anthony Giaccio said.
