Playoffs Next for 16-2 Sleepy Hollow Girls Hoops

On Friday the Sleepy Hollow girls varsity basketball team beat Eastchester 46-34 in their final regular season game.   It was the team's 13th straight victory, to end the year at 16-2.  The team also won their league for the second straight year, the first time this has been accomplished by the Horsemen.

Before the game, graduating seniors Jamie Volpe, Jenny Bucci, Becca Leeper, Jess Tucci and Grace Carr were honored for their years with the team, which is now 62-15 in the last four years.

As for the game itself, another round of snow days and missed practices made for a slow start before everyone got on track, with contributions from every player.  Alex Davis-Sumter had 13 points and Grace Carr added 15.

Playoff seedings will be decided on Tuesday; a home game is likely to be held next Friday February 14th.   A few day of rest will be welcome following several minor injuries, including captains Jess Tucci and Grace Carr.
