Sleep Hollow Girls Beat Nyack, Pelham Next on Monday

On Friday, the Sleepy Hollow Girls varsity basketball team defeated Nyack to move to 3-1 on the season.

Nyack, younger this season and with several injuries, did not provide the drama of last year, when point guard Jess Tucci, now a senior captain, hit a half-court buzzer shot to send the game into overtime and a win.  

Friday's game featured a strong team effort, with sophomore Vanessa Onwe showing her growing potential with 8 points and strong rebounding.  

Next up is Pelham, who shocked Sleepy Hollow in the playoffs after two regular season losses.  The game is at 6 PM Monday at home.
