The Sleepy Hollow girls varsity basketball season came to an end on Wednesday in a 62-37 loss against Rye.  Rye, seeded number 3, played well on offense and defense in their home court, creating trouble for 6th seeded Sleepy Hollow's offense.

The team ends the season 17-3, with graduating seniors Jess Tucci, Jenny Bucci, Becca Leeper, Jamie Volpe and Grace Carr posting an impressive 63-16 record over the last four seasons.

Next season should see the team led by Alex Davis-Sumter in her senior year and Vanessa Onwe in her junior year, with fresh talent like Gabby Del Monaco, Marissa Fortugno, Grace Yawman, Dejah Vandiver, Gaby Chebatar and Josephine Galeotafiore moving from supporting roles to full time play.

Aside from a possible blog on post-season news, this is probably the last entry for this blog.   Thanks to all of the coaches, players, fans and boosters for their support, and to the Patch for hosting.
