The Heart of Huey Lewis & The News is Still Beating

The night my childhood dream came true. The night Huey Lewis & The News played "Sports" front to back. This is my story of how i got to see that dream come true.

I just returned from seeing Huey Lewis & The News at Tarrytown Music Hall. To start off, i first heard Huey Lewis when i was very young. My dad (Jeffery Dunnings) always played their album Sports and i fell in love with it. I'm 16 years old now and  I always waited for the one day where Huey would play the entire album cover to cover. My dreams came true this past March when he announced a re release of the landmark album and a worldwide tour to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Sports. I bought tickets instantly. I got to my seat eagerly waiting for Huey to come on. The lights went down and the heartbeat that opens the album hit the speakers and BAM!!! Huey hits the stage in grand fashion. He has not lost anything since. He still sounds just as great now. The band played the entire album and it was truly a sight to see. You might not see it again. The band continued to play some classic songs and gave us a taste of some new music. If i recall the song was called "When We're Young". The band came back on for the encore. They played The Power of Love which was heard in Back to the Future (1985). They played the two most popular songs from their album Picture This (1982) and the songs were Do You Believe In Love? and Workin' For a Livin'. It was a sight to see that concert was. I'm glad i got to see it for myself. Thank you Huey Lewis & The News for making one of my childhood dreams come true
