__Permanent pile installation continues through the week (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and occasionally between noon and 7 p.m. Saturdays) along with "armoring" of the channel, aimed to protect the water quality for marine life. The Thruway Authority writes, "Currently, TZC crews are layering sand and stone within the dredge channel to armor the river bottom in an effort to ensure sediment is not kicked up by construction vessels."
