_Veteran's Day! Municipal offices are closed with no trash collection services. School is out and there's no postal delivery. There's not even pile driving. The NYS Thruway Authority reports that the pile driving will resume on Tuesday, along with "armoring" of the dredge channel. Namely, "a process that helps protect the water quality for marine life... Currently, TZC crews are layering sand and stone within the dredge channel to armor the river bottom in an effort to ensure sediment is not kicked up by construction vessels." They also offer veterans, including those at work on this project, their gratitude.

The New NY Bridge team includes many veterans, and we are grateful both for their military service and for their contributions to this project. All of us extend gratitude and respect to all of our nation’s veterans.

_How do you want to spend your Veteran's Day? How about taking the teens to the free SAT practice test in Hartsdale? Maybe they won't love it, but it might ease their nerves a bit.
