This historical society in the Jacob Odell house on Grove Street has served Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow since 1889. The museum showcases rotating exhibits that feature art, weapons, artifacts and research materials. Its collection spans from the native American period through to the present day. The museum keeps a display dedicated to the capture of Major Andre by local militia men. Upstairs, the society maintains an extensive book, map, photograph, newspaper and manuscript collection that is available to researchers.
