Since receiving its charter in 1986, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley has been making the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses come true. Serving the counties of Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam, Ulster, Sullivan, Delaware, Orange and Rockland, the Foundation has granted the wishes of more than 1,800 children; these include meetings with celebrities, trips abroad and family vacations.
