Riverkeeper

As we celebrate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's voyage of the river, we have to attribute the relatively restored health of our beloved waterway to Riverkeeper. Since 1966, this member-supported organization has worked to protect the drinking water and ecology of the lower Hudson River Valley by patrolling the waterways by boat, fighting major polluters in court and pursuing education and outreach to the public.
