Carry the Load passed through the Villages in the night making their way to Texas by foot on behalf of our veterans and Memorial Day. After 10 p.m. the other night, The fabulous Sleepy Hollow PD very kindly provided a two car safety escort (forward and aft) of the four pedestrians from Phelps along North Broadway until the sidewalk started at Pierson Ave, where Craig Allan joined them. Irvington PD were at the next staging post, at Make a Wish Foundation at Sunnyside Lane. Irvington PD and had already alerted Dobbs Ferry PD to expect the Carry The Load team be passing though on their next leg. Many of the Police officers who kindly turned out to provide safety escorts were also Veterans. Thank you to all involved. Craig Allan
