The red-brick Tappan Hill Elementary School, located in Tarrytown, is the primary, public pre-Kindergarten and…More Kindergarten school for Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown children. The school has roughly 250 students and about 45 full and part-time staff members and assistants.</p> <p>The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes focus on developmental programs and comprehension. The school also has a dual language program and instructs English-speaking students in basics of communicating in Spanish.</p> <p>The goal of the school is "to create a nurturing, success-oriented environment" to give students the foundation needed for future learning, while also seeking to develop children "socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively."</p> <p>The principal of Tappan Hill Elementary School is Michele Milliam.</p>
