Maria Aoukar, Neighbor

I'm Maria Aoukar, founder of Family Style Wellness, LLC, and a mother of two young children, ages 2 and 5.  Along with my amazing husband, we live in Yorktown and are having so much fun meeting new people and exploring all the town has to offer.

Personally, I have been on quite a ride as far as health and wellness goes. I struggled with weight all my life - every since I was a kid. I don't think a day went by that I didn't have the thought 'if I were only 5 lbs thinner...' Well one day, after the birth of my son, I made some changes in my life that finally did put an end to that thought. I lost weight, I learned about food  - not only what I eat but why I eat. That was quite a breakthrough!

Now, I'm passionate about sharing my story with others, and teaching them what I have learned about how diet and lifestyle effect our health, happiness and well-being.
