One of life's greatest joys is the opportunity to make music with others. All musicians from beginner to advanced are encouraged to join the New Westchester Symphony Orchestra, where we play music together in a supportive, non-competitive environment.  There are no auditions to join the NewWSO.
The NewWSO plays original orchestrations when available. 90% of the time we play exactly what the great composers wrote, and repertoire is drawn from the Renaissance to the present, including new pieces by local composers. Rehearsals are weekly on Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30pm, in Room 200 of the Music Conservatory of Westchester, 216 Central Park Ave, White Plains, NY (MAP). Performances are on a volunteer basis and occur approximately once per month. We understand that people are busy and may not be able to make rehearsal every week.
