Favorite Places to Watch Fireworks in Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow

You can’t celebrate the fourth of July without seeing some fireworks. Living in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow gives you lots of options on where you can catch the show. 

But where’s your favorite place to watch fireworks? 

The Villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow will jointly host a fireworks display on Independence Day (Thursday, July 4), with the rain date on July 5, starting around 9 p.m. The fireworks will be shot off from the General Motors site, at 199 Beekman Ave.

Here’s where you can and cannot go to view the show: 

  • Scenic Hudson RiverWalk Park, 250 W. Main St., and Kingsland Point Park, 299 Palmer Ave. in Sleepy Hollow, will be open to the public
  • Pierson Park in Tarrytown won’t since it is still under construction
  • The Hudson Harbor property, east of Sceenic RiverWalk Park at Tarrytown and north of W. Main Street, is not open to the public
  • All of the Village’s commuter parking lots will be open for public viewing.  While the W. Main Street parking lot will be open, W. Main Street will be closed just west of the lot.
