Noam Bramson has conceded the race for County Executive. Check in for this and other county-wide race election results as they come in here.

Poll workers in Ossining called the long ballot, with its six measures, "tedious," with "too much reading" required. What did you think?

There's been no reports of voter glitches or issues with the machines or the process though one Patch reader said for the first year her name wasn't on the list, so she has to keep her fingers crossed that her vote will count.

Was your experience at the polls today positive or negative? Weigh in below.

Anthony D'aria, reportedly gaining momentum in his grassroots campaign for Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor, suddenly saw a major obstacle in criminal charges.

A recent letter to the editor from Scott Allen endorses the maligned candidate in the Yonkers Tribune, saying, "Anthony D’Aria, burnished a grassroots campaign to unseat Ms. Maybury by literally walking more than 100 miles going door to door in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. D'Aria also spent countless hours at train stations and supermarkets and on town corners, shaking hands and introducing himself and his opinions on local government to the constituents of Mt. Pleasant. Over the course of the late summer and well into October, his grassroots campaign took off and spread like wildfire. Or, in the words of the Internet Age, Mr. D'Aria's election bid 'went viral.'"

That is, until, accuses Allen, "they had him arrested."

The full letter is here. What do you think? How did you vote today?

The County Executive candidates have cast their votes and brought family members along.

In incumbent Rob Astorino's case, he brought his son Sean along to his polling site in Hawthorne this morning.

Noam Bramson went with his wife Catie Stern and his two sons, Jeremy and Owen, to New Rochelle's Barnard Elementary School.

Do you bring your kids along for the ride and use it as a teaching moment, explaining what you're up to?

Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown voting districts are off to a good start today. According to poll workers, the turnout has been healthy as of 9 a.m.

"It's probably the largest turnout by this time that we've had in years, besides a Presidential race," Steve Schwartz said from the Main Street Firehouse of Greenburgh's District 3.

They had seen 33 voters thus far. In Sleepy Hollow, despite more Mount Pleasant contested races and a longer ballot, turnout is...sleepier than Tarrytown. Nonetheless, workers said these were "pretty good" numbers so far. District 1 and 2 had seen six and 12 voters, respectively.

The longer ballot, with no less than six New York State ballot measures to read through, has people taking more time at the polls than usual. So save a few extra minutes for your visit.

Also, these veteran poll workers are always a pleasure to talk to. Don Sledge of Hartsdale has been at this for 20 years, working town polling stations in Scarsdale, Ardsley and beyond. "You meet nice people," he said.

They also have to wake up super-early to get here by 5:30 a.m. and open the polls by 6 a.m. for early morning voters, of which there aren't a lot. Sledge said the day is long and has pockets of activity -- early morning, around lunch, in the afternoon, after work around 7 p.m. and then last-minute just before the polls close.

Before you go to the polls: here's the primer for all you need to know. Where to vote, when, who's running, and what are the issues on the ballot are all there in our comprehensive guide.

What races are you watching? What issues have you talking? Weigh in below.

While the Astorino vs. Bramson race for County Executive might have the most attention, locally there's no contest for Greenburgh Supervisor or any of the other town slots. Supervisor Paul Feiner gears up for another term after already serving 22 years. Hear more from him in a recent Q&A here.

In Mount Pleasant, current Supervisor Joan Maybury sees competition from Anthony D'Aria, who recently faced some unwelcome felony charges.

Voters will choose two of four vying for town council:

  • John Casario (We the People)
  • Dennis McCarthy (R, C)
  • Thomas Sialiano, incumbent (I)
  • Laurie Rogers-Smalley (R, C)
