Martha's Vineyard Photo Exhibit by Michael Witkowski, Music by Jim keyes, Food by Chef Michael Shanker

Please join us on Friday, August 2nd from 7-9 pm for an Artist Reception for area photographer Michael Witkowski. Also enjoy live music by Jim Keys and the culinary delights of Chef Michael Shanker of the Flavor Vault.

Michael Witkowski was born and raised in Tarrytown New York. It was here on the banks of the Hudson River that he found his inspiration for landscape photography. He has continued to make photographs throughout New York State and New England. He has captured riveting images of New York City as well as thoughtful images of rural landscapes.

Over the past few years, annual visits to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts have provided new inspiration. Michael has made many photographs of the island and offers an islander’s perspective of this very special locale. From the bohemian back alleys of Oak Bluffs to the classic New England cottages in Edgartown to the Wampanoag’s treasured tribal lands at Aquinnah; these photographs transport the viewer.

Michael continues to transition as an artist; through practice, experimentation and a willingness to keep his eyes open to new ways of seeing. He studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has worked with notable Hudson Valley filmmakers on special projects and has experimented a great deal with digital format.
